Full Traffic Closure Between El Mdeirij and Bekaa for Paving Works on Damascus International Road

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division announced that “a contracting company will carry out paving works on the Damascus International Road, from the beginning of the El Mdeirij bridge upwards towards the Bekaa, starting at 7:00 AM on Monday, 9-11-2026, until 4:00 PM daily until completion.

Traffic moving from the El Mdeirij highway towards the Bekaa will be completely cut off, and traffic will be diverted via the internal Sofar road towards El Mdeirij-Bekaa throughout the duration of the works.

Citizens are requested to take note and comply with the directions and guidance of the Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as the placed traffic signs, to facilitate traffic flow”.
