The Estimation Department at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation predicted that stable and warm autumn weather would dominate Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin, with temperatures higher than seasonal averages, especially inland, until this afternoon. The weather will then gradually turn unstable with scattered rainfall until Tuesday dawn, when stability returns. It is expected that the region will be affected starting Thursday dawn by a low-pressure system currently centered northwest of Turkey, which is approaching gradually and accompanied by relatively cold air masses. It brings sometimes heavy rains, along with active winds and thunderstorms. Its influence will continue until the end of next week.

Expected weather in Lebanon:

Sunday: Partly cloudy with medium and high clouds, slight rise in temperatures. Humidity levels increase from the afternoon onwards. Fog forms over the heights, clouds thicken making conditions suitable for scattered rainfall, especially in northern and eastern regions, while winds occasionally become active.

Monday: Partly cloudy to sometimes fully cloudy with dense fog over the heights. Temperatures drop back to seasonal averages. Scattered rainfall occurs, intensifying sometimes, especially in the north of the country, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds. Weather stabilizes gradually during the night.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with no notable change in temperatures and local fog over the heights. Drizzle is expected sporadically during the morning period in northern regions. Humidity levels decrease during the day and weather turns partly cloudy.

Wednesday: Generally partly cloudy with rising temperatures. Humidity levels increase in the evening, and weather gradually turns partly cloudy during Wednesday-Thursday night, with scattered rainfall expected.

Surface Winds: Northwesterly during the day, southeasterly to southwesterly at night, speed between 15 and 35 km/h.

Visibility: Good on the coast, worsens sometimes on the heights during the night due to fog.

Relative Humidity on the Coast: Between 60 and 75%.

Sea Condition: Low waves to choppy.

Water Surface Temperature: 28°C.

Atmospheric Pressure: 1013 hectopascals, equivalent to: 760 mmHg.
