The Internal Security Forces arrested two individuals involved in armed motorcycle thefts in multiple areas of Mount Lebanon. The suspects confessed to over 20 thefts and robberies.

The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division:
Within the framework of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to limit theft and robbery of motorcycles throughout all Lebanese territories, information became available to the Information Branch that two individuals riding small unregistered motorcycles were carrying out armed robberies and motorcycle thefts in multiple areas, including: Chouifat, Hazmiyeh, Furn El Chebbak, Dekwaneh, up to Dbayeh.
As a result of the follow-up conducted by the specialized units in the Branch, it became clear that the two suspects spend most of their time in the southern suburb, and are active in carrying out their operations on a black Suzuki motorcycle without a license plate, and they are:
M. H. M. (born in 2008, Lebanese)
M. H. (born in 1993, Lebanese).
On 18-7-2026, in a qualitative operation, and after locating them, a force from the Branch managed to arrest them in Hadath on the aforementioned motorcycle. Upon searching them and the motorcycle, tools and a duplicate motorcycle key were found, which are used in theft operations.
During interrogation, they confessed to carrying out more than 20 thefts, motorcycle robberies, and pickpocketing within Mount Lebanon Governorate, specifically in: Khalde, Chouifat, Furn El Chebbak, Chiyah, Sin El Fil, Dbayeh, Dora, and Hazmiyeh. This was done by riding stolen motorcycles, and after identifying the motorcycle they intended to steal, they would break its handlebars, push it, or start it using wires or the duplicate key, or rob it by force of arms by brandishing a military pistol in the victim's face.
They also confessed that they carried out these operations in partnership with the so-called: M. R. (born in 2009, Lebanese), who is also detained in the custody of the Furn El Chebbak Police Station on a robbery charge. Upon interrogating him, he confessed to what was attributed to him.
The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were handed over along with the confiscated items to the relevant authority, based on the order of the competent judiciary.
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, based on the order of the competent judiciary, circulates the photos of the three detainees, and requests those who have fallen victim to their actions to come to the Mount Lebanon Information Branch or contact phone number 01513732, preparatory to taking the necessary legal measures.
