Hours after details of security raids carried out in Tripoli emerged, along with the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and explosive-related materials, the General Security Directorate issued a new clarification regarding one of the key seized items. A technical inspection by the Lebanese Army revealed that the material was not "C4" as stated in the initial statement.

In detail, the Media Affairs Office of the General Security Directorate issued a statement reading: "Following up on the previous statement, and after the inspection of the seized materials by the Lebanese Army's Engineering Regiment, it was found that they are not C4, but rather devices for igniting explosives."

This clarification comes after General Security had announced earlier today the execution of a series of preemptive raids in the city of Tripoli under the supervision of the competent judiciary. These raids resulted in the seizure of war weapons, ammunition, bombs, detonators, and materials initially identified as "C4," before subsequent technical inspections proved otherwise.

According to the previous statement, the security force seized weapons, ammunition, bombs, detonators, and materials related to the use of explosives inside the home of Lebanese national (R. S.) in the Bab al-Raml area. Meanwhile, a "drone" was seized at the home of the detained Lebanese national (A. I.) in the same area.

In the context of the operation, General Security also arrested Lebanese national (T. H.) in Bab al-Raml due to his connection to the detainees in the case. The seized items were retained based on the instruction of the competent judiciary, and investigations continued to uncover all circumstances and identify individuals linked to the file.

Information at the time indicated that investigations focused on the source of the seized weapons and materials and how they reached the individuals involved, as well as determining the nature of their intended use and the entities behind them. No official announcement has yet been issued to clarify potential objectives or the existence of a specific plan for execution.

The latest clarification puts an end to the confusion regarding the presence of "C4" material among the seized items, while judicial and security investigations continue regarding the remaining weapons, equipment, and individuals linked to the case.
