A delegation from the Amal Movement, headed by Khalil Hamdan, a member of the presidency council, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Tehran. The delegation included MP Qublan Qublan, Deputy Head of the Amal Political Bureau Sheikh Hassan Al-Masri, Political Bureau members Talal Hatoum and Hassan Qublan, Executive Committee member responsible for foreign relations Ali Hayek, and Amal's representative in Iran Salah Fahs.

During the meeting, Araqchi welcomed the delegation members and expressed gratitude for their condolences and participation in the funeral ceremonies of the martyred Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei. He also praised the significant national role of Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri, conveying his greetings to him through the delegation.

Araqchi emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's interest in Lebanon, stressing the necessity of a ceasefire in the country and obligating the Zionist enemy to withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories. He linked the final agreement with the United States to the implementation of this clause in the memorandum of understanding.

In response, Hamdan, on behalf of Berri, the Amal Movement, and the Scouts of the Message, extended condolences for the martyred Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei. He praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for supporting the Lebanese people and their resistance, as well as the firm and clear stance of the Iranian negotiators in including the clause on ceasefire in Lebanon and Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese lands in the memorandum of understanding, considering this clause a fundamental point for continuing negotiations and reaching an agreement.

Hamdan also reaffirmed Berri and the Amal Movement's rejection of the framework agreement, their commitment to Lebanese national unity, and their rejection of discord among the Lebanese people.
