Israeli officials announced the destruction of a Hezbollah tunnel network in southern Lebanon and ongoing air raids targeting Nabatieh and surrounding areas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on Sunday evening that the Israeli military had destroyed a tunnel network and underground infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the town of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon.
The joint statement detailed that the tunnel extends over 200 meters and is located at a depth exceeding 25 meters. It contained hundreds of military components and several launch openings reportedly intended to target Israeli territory.
The statement added that Israel had informed the United States and the U.S. representative in Lebanon in advance about the operation to destroy the infrastructure. It affirmed that Israeli forces will continue their operations within what they describe as the “security zone” in southern Lebanon, aiming to eliminate threats and protect northern settlements.
Earlier on the same day, the Upper Galilee Regional Council in northern Israel warned of a large explosion expected in the western Galilee area within the coming hours. The council explained that the explosion is part of Israeli military operations to complete the destruction of Hezbollah’s infrastructure inside Lebanese territory.
The council noted that the force of the explosion might trigger some independent seismic monitoring systems mistakenly, emphasizing that it is not an earthquake and poses no danger to residents.
In a related development, Israel continued to violate the ceasefire agreement by conducting air raids targeting the city of Nabatieh and the towns of Mayfadun and Upper Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.
An Israeli drone struck an open area near residential homes in the town of Froun, while an Israeli aircraft dropped a sound bomb near the Teachers’ House at the Nabatieh–Upper Nabatieh junction.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that a sound bomb dropped by Israeli forces on the town of Burj Qalaouiyeh in the Bint Jbeil district caused injuries to several civilians.
