The Israeli military announced the killing of four soldiers in southern Lebanon amid ongoing clashes and airstrikes that have caused multiple casualties.

The Israeli army declared on Friday morning that four of its soldiers were killed during clashes in southern Lebanon, following airstrikes launched by Tel Aviv on the region that resulted in approximately 15 fatalities.
Avichay Adrai, the Israeli army spokesperson for Arab media, stated that the military forces attacked "during the past night hours and continue to target militants and terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in several areas of southern Lebanon."
He added on his account on the platform X that the Israeli airstrikes "occurred after repeated and ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah."
Meanwhile, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli air raids in southern Lebanon caused the deaths of at least 15 individuals on Friday.
Local residents and media outlets said that Israeli air raids and attacks targeted several towns in Nabatieh throughout the night and into the early hours of Friday, with the National News Agency describing the bombardment as among the heaviest in recent weeks.
This escalation follows Israel’s release of a map indicating an expansion of its military control zone in southern Lebanon, stating that it does not rule out conducting attacks beyond this area as well, raising questions about the temporary agreement reached between the United States and Iran on Wednesday.
The agreement calls for an end to fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon, and urges all parties to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
A senior Israeli official commented that Israel is engaged in "difficult negotiations" with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the retention of forces deployed up to 10 kilometers inside southern Lebanon as part of its pursuit of Hezbollah.
Israel has rejected calls to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon, where Hezbollah has continued attacks against Israeli troops, including the use of explosive-laden drones that caused casualties among soldiers earlier this week.
