Israeli Chief of Staff Calls Agreement with Lebanon Historic and Important
Israeli Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir described the agreement with Lebanon as historic and emphasized commitment to its implementation and troop safety.

During the approval of plans to continue operations in the northern command, Israeli Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir described the agreement signed with the Lebanese government as historic and important, stating that the operational strength and military achievements of the army in recent months created the conditions for its conclusion.
He added that the agreement will be respected and efforts will be made to ensure its success. Zamir noted that the current test is the practical implementation by both parties, and the upcoming period will define the future framework.
He emphasized that the safety of their forces remains a top priority. Fighters from the 36th Division and the commando units under his command control the area of Tel Qalaat al-Shaqif, equipped with all necessary tools and means to overcome the enemy. He affirmed that all army capabilities are present to continue supporting the troops in carrying out their mission.
