Israeli Soldier Wounded in Close-Range Clash with Hezbollah Fighters in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military reported that one of its soldiers was moderately wounded during a close-range clash with Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon overnight between Friday and Saturday, despite a ceasefire agreement between the parties.

In a statement, the army said, "An Israeli Defense Forces member was moderately injured during a military operation in southern Lebanon at night (between Friday and Saturday)." It further clarified to Agence France-Presse that the soldier "was wounded during a close-range encounter with armed militants" in the area.
