Jaber: We Continue Working to Address Needs Related to the Health Sector

Minister of Finance Yasin Jaber received Minister of Public Health Rakan Nasr al-Din in his office at the ministry.

The meeting discussed financial matters related to the health file, particularly funding for hospitalization expenses, allocations for government hospitals, and outstanding payments owed to hospitals contracted with the state, alongside issues concerning the supply of medicines provided by the Ministry of Health to patients suffering from chronic and rare diseases.

Minister Jaber reiterated that "the health file remains one of the top priorities, given the importance of securing health and medical services for citizens, ensuring the continuity of government hospitals and those contracted with the state, and their ability to fulfill their roles, as well as guaranteeing essential medicines for patients, especially those with chronic and rare conditions."

Jaber stressed that "the Ministry of Finance will continue working, within available resources, to address the financial needs of the health sector, contributing to protecting public health and ensuring the continuity of healthcare services for citizens."
