Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Rajji posted on his account on the "X" platform:

"I held productive talks with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, covering various aspects of the situation in Lebanon and ways to enhance cooperation with the European Union.

During the joint press conference, I appreciated the continuous European support for Lebanon and welcomed the decision to establish an EU mission within the framework of the Common Security and Defence Policy, emphasizing the importance of EU support for Lebanon in implementing its sovereign decision to restrict arms to the state, and working towards ending the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territories.

For her part, Kallas confirmed that the European mission would undertake the training of the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces, reiterating the EU's support for the framework agreement and stressing the necessity of extending the Lebanese state's authority over all its territories and proceeding with Hezbollah's disarmament."
