Kan'an after the Finance Committee: We Approved Rights for 'Ogero' Employees, This Is What We Requested

The Finance and Budget Committee approved the supplementary budget appropriation project for the year 2026 for the benefit of the 'Ogero' authority to settle dues for employee salaries owed since 2024.

Kan'an pointed out the committee's request for clarifications from the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding the details of funds allocated for the social safety net enhancement agreement, how these funds will be spent and distributed across governorates, and what portion will go to low-income individuals versus operational expenses, so that the public authority can make the appropriate decision. Regarding the proposal to correct certain salaries for third-category employees of the Lebanese University who succeeded in the closed competition, the committee requested the financial cost of this proposal.

The committee convened under the chairmanship of Kan'an, with the presence of Minister of Finance Yassine Jabber, Minister of Social Affairs Hnin Al-Sayid, Minister of Communications Charles Hajj, and members of parliament: Ali Fayad, Alin Aoun, Ali Hassan Khalil, Jihad Al-Samad, Balar Abdallah, Suleiman Aoun, Ehab Matar, Hassan Fadlallah, Adnan Trabulsi, Ibrahim Al-Mousawi, Haydar Nassar, Cesar Abi Khelif, Yassine Yassine, Ayoub Hamid, Amin Sharie, Ghada Ayoub, Melhem Khallaf, Qassem Hashem, Ghazi Zeiter, Muhammad Khwaja.

Also present were President of the Lebanese University Bassam Badran, General Director of Ogero Ahmad Awaidat, Project Manager of Aman at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Marie Louise Abu Jouda, and Director of the Aman Project at the Ministry of Social Affairs Marie Gheih.
