Katz: We Defeated 'Hezbollah'... And We Won't Withdraw from Lebanon!
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz declared that the Israeli army will not withdraw from the security zone in southern Lebanon, emphasizing military dominance over Hezbollah and ongoing operations to dismantle its infrastructure.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed that "the Israeli army will not withdraw from the security zone in southern Lebanon."
He said during a visit to the Israeli military in southern Lebanon: "I instructed the Israeli army to take all necessary steps for a long-term presence in the security zone in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza."
He added: "We have destroyed Hezbollah's infrastructure and every house in the security zone, and we will not allow any threat to our citizens," and continued: "We destroyed the tunnels they built with Iranian support to invade the Galilee."
Katz pointed out that "the Israeli army defeated Hezbollah with exceptional skill and gained control of Mount Shqif in southern Lebanon."
The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that "Katz visited the Israeli military in southern Lebanon today and discussed preparations for the upcoming campaign against Hezbollah."
