Katz Condemns Eisenkot's Call for Israeli Military to Defy Netanyahu's Orders
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz condemned opposition candidate Gadi Eisenkot for urging the military to resist potential pressure from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after elections, amid threats of new strikes on Iran.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz condemned opposition candidate Gadi Eisenkot on Wednesday for his call for the army to resist pressures that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might exert after the elections, in light of the latter's threats to launch new strikes on Iran.
In a post on the "X" platform, Katz stated: "His call for senior military officials not to comply with directives from the Prime Minister, or from me, or from other relevant security authorities, on the basis that they have his support, is an anti-democratic statement and out of touch with reality."
He added that Eisenkot's remarks are an extension of a false campaign regarding disagreements between the military and political echelons concerning Iran.
Katz emphasized that the army will execute everything requested of it regarding Iran.
