Issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Communications:

"Recently, allegations attributed to hostile Israeli media have emerged regarding positions related to the army and its missions in the south, along with other fabricated news.

The Army Command affirms that elements of the institution are committed to its directives and assigned tasks, carrying out their duties based on their belief in their national responsibility to defend Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability, free from any other considerations. The command enjoys the trust of friendly and allied countries, which continue to support the army, recognizing the importance of its role, particularly amid exceptional circumstances and challenges facing Lebanon.

The timing of these rumors and their dissemination, during a phase of extreme precision and sensitivity, reveals the danger of attempts to target the army and its leadership, sow doubt within the institution, and undermine trust between it and the Lebanese people. The Army Command emphasizes that disinformation campaigns, regardless of the actors behind them, will not affect the cohesion of the military institution or its ability to fulfill its duties, nor will they deter it from continuing its missions to safeguard Lebanon's security and stability.

The Army Command calls on all individuals to assume their national responsibilities, refrain from being drawn into rumors or contributing to their spread, and refer to official army sources regarding the military institution and its leadership."
