The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement:

The Army Command affirms that its military units carried out their deployment inside the town of Zoutar West after completing the necessary communication and coordination with the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L), and that they did not enter the town of Zoutar East.

The Command clarifies that Israeli forces approached the outskirts of Zoutar West while Lebanese Army personnel were present in the town during the deployment mission and opened fire near them, which endangered the soldiers and obstructed the completion of their assigned task.

The Israeli occupation army must address any issues through the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L) and the established coordination and communication channels, instead of carrying out attacks.
