Lebanese Defense Minister Offers Condolences on Khamenei's Passing
Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Mansy attended official mourning ceremonies in Tehran for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, expressing condolences and respect for sacrifices made.

Brigadier General Michel Mansy, Lebanon's Minister of National Defense, represented the Lebanese Republic at the official mourning ceremonies held in Tehran for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Mansy extended condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezhikian, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Acting Defense Minister Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Ibn al-Ridha, and Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei.
In the condolence register, Mansy wrote: "I convey to the Islamic Republic of Iran, its Supreme Leader, leadership, and people, the condolences of the Lebanese Republic on the martyrdom of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, praying for mercy on his soul in the eternal world, and patience and solace for the Iranian people and the family of the martyred Imam."
Acting Defense Minister Ibn al-Ridha hosted Mansy and the accompanying delegation, stating that "the presence of the Lebanese delegation at the mourning ceremonies reflects the depth of the historical relations between Lebanon and Iran."
Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Ibn al-Ridha affirmed that "his country bases its relations with Lebanon on the principle of respecting its sovereignty and statehood," expressing Iran's aspiration "to strengthen the best relations with Lebanon alongside other friendly countries and to establish balanced relations with various countries in the region."
In response, Mansy noted that "his participation was to offer condolences and to express, on behalf of the Lebanese Republic, respect for the souls lost and the sacrifices made."
He added, "We hope that peace, security, and stability will prevail throughout the entire region, and that such peace will be based on justice and dignity."
