Lebanese Justice Minister: Hezbollah's Weapons Have Brought Lebanon Nothing But Destruction and Death

Lebanese Justice Minister Adel Nassar said that Hezbollah's weapons have brought Lebanon nothing but destruction and death, affirming the state's determination to restrict weapons to its own hands.

In a press conference, Nassar added his conviction that Hezbollah's weapons will be handed over to the state "through logic and with as little harm as possible," but warned that time is running out, because the state's interest requires restricting weapons.

He affirmed that the government's goal is to ensure the security of all Lebanese people, recover land, protect all areas, and rebuild.

He stressed that building the state is not directed against any sect, adding: "But for a group to hide behind its sect to preserve weapons, this is an unacceptable position."

Nassar also emphasized that it is not possible to keep the Lebanese under the obsession of war between Iran and America.

Regarding the file of the Beirut Port explosion, the Justice Minister said that the investigation has taken the correct path, and that the closing arguments were issued early, noting that the country is waiting for the indictment decision, which is expected to be issued before the end of the year.
