Lebanese Prosecutor Orders Arrest of Syrian Man for Insulting Syrian President in Beirut

The Deputy Public Prosecutor, Judge Ahmed Rami Al-Hajj, issued a formal request to the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces to arrest the Syrian national Hussein Al-Ahmad. Al-Ahmad appeared in a recorded video outside the Syrian embassy in Lebanon, which circulated on social media, where he directed insults and offensive language toward the Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara.

The Information Branch was also tasked with detaining Al-Ahmad and conducting the necessary investigations with him.
