According to MTV sources, Lebanon's central bank governor, Karim Saeed, stated during a session of the Finance and Budget Committee regarding the banking reform law that the objections to the central bank's amendments to certain provisions of the banking reform law did not originate from the state or the government, but rather from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He added that this does not imply, God forbid, any ill intent.
