Lebanon's Defense Minister Meets Italian Ambassador to Discuss Military and Security Cooperation
Lebanon's Defense Minister Michel Mounssy met with Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Marticelli to discuss enhancing bilateral military and security cooperation.

Lebanon's Minister of National Defense, Michel Mounssy, received the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marticelli, at his office in Yarzeh. The meeting focused on bilateral relations between Lebanon and Italy and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields, particularly in security and military sectors.
Mounssy expressed his appreciation for Italy's support to Lebanon and its institutions, commending the humanitarian and military aid Italy provides to Lebanon and the Lebanese army. He also highlighted Italy's ongoing and active contribution within the framework of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
The discussions also covered current developments in southern Lebanon and ongoing negotiations, as well as challenges related to UNIFIL's tasks and the period following the end of its mandate later this year.
