Minister of Labor Sets One-Month Deadline for Renewing Work Permits Before Residency Expiry
Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar reminds citizens and employers to submit work permit applications or renewals at least one month before residency expiry.

Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar recalled the circular he had previously issued regarding simplifying procedures and facilitating citizens' transactions.
The circular stated: "It requests from esteemed citizens and stakeholders, particularly employers, to initiate the submission of work permit applications or their renewal requests no less than one month prior to the expiration date of the residency issued by the General Directorate of General Security. This is to allow competent authorities sufficient time to complete necessary procedures and finalize transactions within approved deadlines."
Stakeholders are warned that the Ministry of Labor bears no responsibility for any fees or additional financial burdens that may result from delays in submitting work permit applications or their renewal requests within the deadline specified in the first paragraph above. The responsibility for initiating the application within the mentioned timeframe remains with the stakeholders.
The deadline referred to in the first paragraph above is considered an advisory period aimed at enabling stakeholders to complete their transactions in a timely manner. It shall not be interpreted under any circumstances as an extension of current legal or regulatory deadlines, nor does it exempt stakeholders from complying with any other deadline or condition imposed by applicable laws, regulations, and decisions."
