The Ministry of Economy and Trade will publish the names of those violating food safety regulations after judicial verification. Lebanon aims to strengthen economic ties with Syria following recent visits.
Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Trade Muhammad Abu Haidar announced that "the ministry will publish the names of violators in cases involving unsafe food products and trading on people's health on the ministry's website after judicial review and verification of the violation."
He added in an interview with "AMFM": "Following the recent visit to Syria, Lebanon has no choice but to maintain the best possible economic relations with it, and we are working through a Lebanese technical committee to overcome obstacles and accelerate trade exchange."
