Norwegian Ambassador Meets President Aoun to Discuss Aid for Displacement Crisis

President Joseph Aoun held discussions with Norway's ambassador to Lebanon, Hilde Haraldstad, regarding the overall situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as Lebanon's stance on current developments. The talks also covered bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors.

Ambassador Haraldstad affirmed her country's support for the positions and decisions taken by the president and the government aimed at asserting state sovereignty over the entire Lebanese territory, particularly in the south. She also endorsed the path initiated following the announcement of the "framework formula" emerging from the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations in Washington.

Furthermore, the ambassador confirmed Norway's readiness to provide humanitarian and social assistance to address the displacement crisis resulting from the bombing of southern villages and towns.
