President Aoun Returns from Ankara; Erdogan's Visit to Beirut Anticipated
President Joseph Aoun concluded talks in Ankara with Turkish President Erdogan on bilateral cooperation and invited him to visit Lebanon.

President Joseph Aoun has returned from Ankara following discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The talks addressed Lebanon's general situation, regional issues, bilateral relations, and cooperation across various sectors.
The discussions included Turkish assistance in multiple areas such as military training, equipment provision, and ready-made housing units aimed at facilitating the return of displaced persons. Additionally, Turkish interest was emphasized in electricity, oil, infrastructure, and air transport sectors.
They also deliberated on activating the free trade agreement, the work of joint committees, and Turkish coordination to involve Lebanon in joint projects related to railways and ports.
President Aoun extended an invitation to Erdogan to visit Lebanon, which Erdogan thanked him for and promised to accept.
