Raji Receives Credentials of New French Ambassador

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Joseph Raji received the new French ambassador, Patrick Douril, in a protocol visit during which he formally presented copies of his credentials to Lebanon.

The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on the current state of bilateral relations between Lebanon and France, as well as ways to strengthen them across political, economic, and cultural domains, with particular emphasis on France’s historic supportive role for Lebanon throughout various stages.

Raji stressed the "determination of Lebanon to strengthen the longstanding friendship ties linking it to France," wishing the ambassador Douril "success in carrying out his duties."

Additionally, Raji received Nigeria’s new ambassador, Wasiu Sigiin Eji, and accepted a copy of his credentials, extending best wishes for success and prosperity in his new diplomatic mission in Lebanon.
