Shahada Participates in Sub-Committee for Establishing Ministry of Technology
Minister Kamal Shahada joined a parliamentary sub-committee session to review the draft law for creating a new Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence.

Minister of Displaced Persons and Minister of State for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Kamal Shahada, participated in the session of the sub-committee formed by joint parliamentary committees, chaired by MP Tony Franjieh, dedicated to studying the draft law aimed at establishing a Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
The session witnessed detailed discussion on the provisions of the draft law, which had previously been studied by the parliamentary technology committee and referred to the parliament, where progress was made in discussing its articles and completing a significant number of them.
In addition to Minister Shahada and MP Tony Franjieh, MPs Saeed Al-Assmar, Bilal Al-Hachimi, Yassin Yassin, Alain Aoun, Razi Al-Hajj, Adnan Tripoli, Ashraf Baydoun, Hassan Ezzeddine, and Rami Abu Hamdan participated in the session.
Also present were Director General Ahmad Mahmoud representing the Ministry of Displaced Persons, Nadine Chawhi representing the Ministry of State for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and Hala Rashid and Dmitry Stefano representing the Ministry of Administrative Development.
This session comes within the framework of completing the legislative path for the project to establish a specialized ministry for technology and artificial intelligence, aiming to set a clear institutional framework for this sector within the Lebanese state.
