Some departments of Sidon's governorate closed, while essential services continue in others

Entered its second week within the scope of actions by the Public Administration Employees Association, Sidon's governorate continues its operations. Despite the association's decision to close all provincial departments every Friday, exceptions were made to keep certain departments functioning to safeguard citizens' interests and avoid missing legal deadlines.

In this context, the South Governorate kept its doors open, with South Governor Mansour Dawa acting as interim governor of Nabatieh, limiting document processing to urgent cases—particularly those involving residents of Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil—coinciding with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities' announcement to open the Bint Jbeil civil registry office and those in its villages across the governorate.

As for civil registry, social affairs, surveying, and environmental departments, staff attendance was restricted to managing urgent matters and completing essential internal tasks.
