The Committee of Contracted Professors at the Lebanese University announced the continuation of the strike in all branches of the university.

In a statement, the committee said: "While the committee appreciates the efforts made to address the tenure file, it stresses that promises are no substitute for decisions, and that the strike will continue until professors are treated fairly and their rights are approved. In light of the recent statement by Minister of Education Reema Karami from Baabda, the committee emphasizes the necessity of approving the tenure file in the first upcoming government session with the presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic, without any additional postponement."

It called for "continued commitment to the strike and maintaining unity of position," affirming that "its future decisions will be based on the results of the next government session, in consultation with fellow professors."

The committee stressed "the need for solidarity among all colleagues and unity across all branches of the university. It calls on them to follow the Cabinet session with a large sit-in to achieve our long-awaited demand for tenure."
