Syrian Foreign Minister Emphasizes Coexistence with Lebanon at Meeting in Bkerke

At the patriarchal headquarters in Bkerke, Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi received Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shayebani along with his accompanying delegation.

Following the meeting, Al-Shayebani stated, "As part of a series of meetings held today, I had the honor to meet His Beatitude. We affirm today the necessity of spreading peace among peoples and coexistence between the Syrian and Lebanese peoples. The Christian community in Syria and Lebanon holds a very significant role in the stability of both countries, with a historical presence that dates back hundreds of years."
