They Steal Jewellery Discreetly... Have You Been a Victim of Their Crimes?
Lebanese security forces have arrested a married couple suspected of professional jewellery theft in Beirut's Basateen district, with surveillance footage capturing the crime.

"On 18-8-2026, elements of the Basateen Patrol Unit under the Beirut Police Department apprehended the couple:
M. G. (born 1980, Lebanese)
L. H. (born 1990, Lebanese)
in the Basateen neighborhood – Al-Awzai Street, after the owner of a jewellery store caught them in the act of stealing jewellery using a professional method relying on stealth. Surveillance cameras documented the entire theft.
Upon searching them, authorities found /13/ gold pieces without invoices. The store owner identified /5/ of them as his property, while the origin of the remaining pieces is still under investigation.
Therefore, based on a referral from the competent judicial authority, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is issuing their photographs and requests that anyone who has fallen victim to their crimes and recognizes them come forward to the Basateen Patrol Unit at the Beirut Police Department, or contact the number: 633808-01, in preparation for taking the necessary legal actions."
