Traffic Measures Tomorrow on the Occasion of a Marathon
The Internal Security Forces announced traffic measures for a solidarity run organized by the Beirut Marathon Association on Saturday, May 23, 2026, as part of the global One Run Global campaign.
Issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces — Public Relations Division, the following statement:
"The Beirut Marathon Association organizes tomorrow, Saturday 23-05-2026, a 'Solidarity Run' within the global campaign One Run Global, where the race will start at 06:30 AM and end at 12:00 PM, with the starting and finishing point at the Beirut Waterfront opposite Seaside Arena, as follows:
Marathon race route 1 km:
The race starts from the street opposite Seaside Arena, Beirut Waterfront with the direction of traffic, heads towards the fourth intersection, then turns 180 degrees to return from the other side of the road (with the direction of traffic) towards the finish line at the Beirut Waterfront.
Marathon race route 5 km:
The race starts from the street opposite Seaside Arena, Beirut Waterfront with the direction of traffic, heads directly towards the fourth intersection, turns left towards the Hilton Hotel intersection then right onto the main road (with the direction of traffic), continues the route passing by St George Yacht Club, heads towards the seaside promenade reaching the turning point opposite Uncle Deek, the route turns 180 degrees to return on the same road passing by St George Yacht Club and the Zaitunay Bay intersection, turns right against the direction of traffic opposite Four Seasons Hotel reaching the Hilton Hotel intersection, turns left at the intersection until the end of the street (with the direction of traffic), then heads right towards the finish line at Seaside Arena.
Marathon race route 10 km:
The race starts from the street opposite Seaside Arena, Beirut Waterfront with the direction of traffic, the route heads directly towards the fourth intersection, turns left towards the Hilton Hotel intersection then right onto the main road (with the direction of traffic), continues the route reaching the Zaitunay Bay intersection, turns right towards the Beirut Waterfront until the end of the road, then turns around to return from the opposite side of the road and continues until the Zaitunay Bay intersection, continues the road towards the promenade until the turning point at Riviera Hotel, the route turns 180 degrees to return on the same road passing by St George Yacht Club, turns left (against the direction of traffic) at Four Seasons reaching the Hilton Hotel intersection then left until the end of the street (with the direction of traffic), and turns right to head towards the finish line at Seaside Arena.
Marathon race route 21.1 km:
The race starts from the street opposite Seaside Arena, Beirut Waterfront with the direction of traffic, the route heads directly towards the fourth intersection, turns left towards the Hilton Hotel intersection then right onto the main road (with the direction of traffic), continues until the Zaitunay Bay intersection then turns right towards the Beirut Waterfront until the end of the road, turns around at the end to return from the opposite side of the road, continues until the Zaitunay Bay intersection, continues towards the promenade until the turning point at Luna Park, then the route turns 180 degrees to return passing by St George Yacht Club and continues to enter again into the Beirut Waterfront until the end of the road, turns around at the end to return from the opposite side and continues until Zaitunay Bay towards the promenade until the turning point at Luna Park, then the route turns 180 degrees to return on the same road passing by St George Yacht Club, turns left (against the direction of traffic) at Four Seasons reaching the Hilton Hotel intersection then left until the end of the street (with the direction of traffic), and turns right towards the finish line at Seaside Arena.
Therefore, citizens are kindly requested to take note, and comply with the directives and instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel, and the traffic signs placed at the location, to ensure the safety of the participants and facilitate traffic flow."
