Two Prisoners Attempt Escape from Zahle Justice Palace Detention
Two inmates at Zahle Justice Palace detention tried to escape by unlocking multiple cells but were stopped by security forces.

In the early hours shortly after midnight, two detainees at the Zahle Justice Palace detention facility—one Lebanese and the other Syrian—managed to unlock and remove the lock on their cell door. They then assaulted two Internal Security Forces personnel, restrained them, and seized the keys to ten other cells.
Using these keys, they opened the additional cells in an effort to coerce other prisoners into fleeing and assisting in their escape plan. However, most of the inmates did not respond or participate in the attempted breakout.
Security forces quickly intervened with support from the Information Branch, the Judicial Police, and the Bekaa Investigations Unit, alongside substantial reinforcements from the Rapid Intervention Regiment of the Internal Security Forces. The situation was fully brought under control within the detention area, and no prisoners succeeded in leaving the facility.
