The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, congratulated the Lebanese on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, at the beginning of the Council of Ministers session, and wished that God would bring it back to them and to Lebanon under better circumstances, and pointed out that Lebanon fully appreciates the meaning of this holiday, as it has been sacrificing for others for nearly four decades, and he also hoped that we would witness the complete and final liberation of Lebanon.

He praised the work being done by the ministries concerned with the conditions of Lebanese displaced persons, and the military and security agencies, the Red Cross, Civil Defense, and other agencies that work around the clock to secure the minimum daily requirements for the displaced and to alleviate, even slightly, their suffering.

He asked the ministries to consult and activate the role of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, whose quorum has been completed, in accordance with the law, in files related to economic, social and environmental affairs.

The President of the Republic touched on the necessity of seeking legal consultations from external institutions on limited judicial topics, while it is necessary to benefit from institutions concerned with the Lebanese situation and its system, instead of relying on institutions from abroad that do not take into account Lebanese regulations, and he also asked to address the file related to paying the dues of international law firms that represent Lebanon in external disputes, a matter that dates back to before the formation of the current government.
