Dominican Republic Designates Hezbollah and Quds Force as Terrorist Organizations
The Dominican Republic has added Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force and Lebanon's Hezbollah to its terrorism list, drawing praise from Jewish groups and Israeli officials.

The Dominican Republic announced the inclusion of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force and Lebanon's Hezbollah on its terrorism list. Jewish groups and Israeli officials praised this decision.
The American Jewish Committee said in a statement: "Bravo to President Luis Abinader and the Dominican Republic for joining a growing chorus of nations in Latin America and around the world taking a firm stand against Iran's malignant network."
The committee added: "In light of the ongoing danger posed by the regime and its proxies to the Western Hemisphere and beyond, we urge other countries to build on this momentum and take decisive action to confront and dismantle these threats."
Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations in New York, welcomed this step, considering it "an important decision that aligns with the dozens of countries that have already done the right thing." He added: "The world increasingly understands that Iran-led terrorism is not only a threat to Israel but a global threat."
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said: "This important decision sends a clear message against the terrorist policies of Iran and its proxies, and demonstrates a commitment to regional and global security. It is another important reinforcement of the international front against terrorism."
