In Bdainel.. Mukhtars of Bekaa Demand a Broad General Amnesty

On the main Zahle-Baalbek road in the town of Bdainel, mukhtars from the southern Baalbek and eastern Bekaa regions held a protest sit-in, during which they raised demands for enacting a broad and comprehensive general amnesty that is not limited to individual cases, but rather addresses the entire social reality, and achieves justice for convicts and detainees.

The sit-in was preceded by a meeting held at the home of the mukhtar of Shamshtar, Hassan al-Najjar, where the attendees discussed the necessity of correcting the course and opening a new page for convicts and prisoners. They stressed in their deliberations the rejection of narrow calculations, demanding a complete general amnesty.
