Lebanon Launches Ministerial Workshops to Reform Public Administration
Lebanon's Ministry of Administrative Development begins a series of technical meetings with multiple ministries to modernize governance and public administration.

A series of technical meetings between the Ministry of State for Administrative Development and several Lebanese ministries has been launched as part of an effort to update public administration and strengthen good governance. These sectoral workshops aim to assess current governance realities and explore more efficient and effective future models.
The meetings included the Ministry of Tourism, with Minister Laura Lahoud; the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with Minister Rima Karami; the Ministry of Agriculture, with Minister Nizar Hani; and the Ministry of Labor, with Minister Mohammad Haidar. A session was also held with the Ministry of Energy and Water, involving Minister Joe Sadi, with Environment Minister Tamara El Zein participating remotely due to the integrative nature of the two ministries. Additionally, meetings took place with the Ministries of Culture and Public Health, involving their respective specialized teams.
Focus on Governance and International Best Practices
Discussions centered on evaluating the current state of governance in each sector, reviewing international experiences and best practices, and examining the most efficient institutional models for managing public sectors. Enhancing integration and coordination among relevant authorities was also a key topic. These workshops are part of national efforts to prepare a modern reform vision for Lebanon's public administration, based on efficiency, transparency, and institutional sustainability, aligned with the aspirations of the 2030 project to reconfigure state administrations and institutions.
