The bulletin issued by the Service stated that relatively stable spring weather with temperatures below seasonal averages currently prevails over the eastern Mediterranean basin, and this situation will gradually change starting Friday, as the region is affected by warm air masses that raise temperatures above seasonal averages, and their impact continues until next week.
For Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy with local fog over the heights and a slight rise in temperatures, while it rises significantly in mountainous and inland areas, with the weather turning partly cloudy in the evening.
On Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy with a decrease in humidity and an additional significant rise in temperatures, especially in mountainous and inland areas, and winds will occasionally become active from the afternoon.
On Friday, the weather will be clear to partly cloudy with an additional rise in temperatures, returning to seasonal averages especially in the south of the country, with low humidity and occasional wind activity in the south of the country.
On Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy with high clouds, with a continued rise in temperatures exceeding seasonal averages.
The bulletin indicated that the average temperature for May in Beirut ranges between 18 and 27 degrees Celsius, in Tripoli between 15 and 25 degrees, and in Zahle between 13 and 27 degrees.
Expected temperatures on the coast are between 15 and 21 degrees Celsius, above the mountains between 6 and 14 degrees, and inland between 6 and 19 degrees.
Surface winds will be southwesterly, and northwesterly to northeasterly at night, with speeds ranging between 10 and 25 kilometers per hour.
Visibility (horizontal visibility) will be good on the coast and will deteriorate locally over the heights in the evening period.
Relative humidity on the coast ranges between 50 and 75 percent.
Sea conditions will be moderate in wave height, and the surface water temperature will be 20 degrees Celsius.
Atmospheric pressure is 764 mm of mercury.
