Reports indicate that Prince Harry will not be accommodated at Buckingham Palace during his anticipated visit to the United Kingdom this week, following the royal residence's withdrawal of an invitation he had previously accepted.

On Monday, Prince Harry's team announced his acceptance of an offer to stay at the royal residence in London. However, Buckingham Palace retracted the invitation minutes after the announcement. Sources revealed that the decision was due to Harry accepting the offer "too late," as the palace requires advance notice to ensure the availability of lodging and necessary services.

The Telegraph reported that the withdrawal decision was made in consultation with King Charles, Harry's father. The palace also noted that the impending ruling in Harry's privacy lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail, expected on Tuesday, added "an additional layer of complexity" to the visit.

Prince Harry is visiting Britain to participate in an event promoting the Invictus Games, scheduled to take place in Birmingham next July. He will travel alone, without his wife Meghan and their children Archie and Lilibet, after abandoning plans for their travel following a rejected request for police protection.

Harry has repeatedly expressed his desire to bring his children to Britain but confirmed that security concerns complicate these plans. Last year, he lost a legal battle against a government decision to withdraw the automatic protection previously granted to him after stepping down from royal duties.

This visit occurs amid ongoing tensions between Harry and the royal family, despite his call for reconciliation with his father, King Charles, who continues to battle cancer. Harry has sought to move past the public disputes of recent years and expressed last year his wish to reunite his family, noting that his children have not visited Britain for years.
