A straight-to-series order for Hulu’s upcoming thriller drama, currently titled Bachelorette Weekend, will feature Kylie Jenner in the lead role. This project represents her first significant scripted acting engagement. Reports indicate that negotiations are underway for the series, which also positions Jenner as an executive producer alongside Kim Kardashian.

Plot centers on murdered bride investigation

The narrative follows a group of close friends whose bachelorette celebration turns deadly. Deadline reports that Jenner portrays the bride at the story's core, who is subsequently found murdered in a pool. The series unfolds by revealing events from the weekend and examining how each friend contributed to the tragedy. As the investigation progresses, the bride’s closest companions become suspects.

Production team and studio partnerships

Kim Kardashian joins Jenner as an executive producer. Lauren Oliver, an author and screenwriter, created the series and wrote the television adaptation. Aaron Kaplan and Jaiden Kaplan contribute through Kapital Entertainment. The executive producer lineup includes Jenner, Kardashian, Oliver, and Aaron Kaplan, with Jaiden Kaplan serving as co-executive producer. 20th Television acts as a co-studio alongside Kapital Entertainment.

Origins from unpublished Flora Collins book

Bachelorette Weekend draws inspiration from an unpublished book by Flora Collins. StoryGiants, Oliver’s intellectual property packaging company, initially developed the project before she adapted it for television. Aaron and Jaiden Kaplan later refined the adaptation internally within Kapital Entertainment. Kardashian became interested after receiving the spec script as a potential production vehicle.

Kardashian identified Jenner starring potential

Kardashian recognized the story’s potential as a starring project for her younger sister. She forwarded the script to Jenner, leading both to quickly engage with the series. Kardashian’s existing first-look deal with 20th Television facilitated the project’s advancement. The team subsequently pitched Bachelorette Weekend to Hulu, where a straight-to-series order is now being finalized.
