Hunter Biden Reveals New Addiction Following Crack Recovery

Hunter Biden, son of the former US president, revealed a new hobby in a post addressed to his followers on the social media platform X.

He updated his profile picture and commented, "Recovered crack addict now has a new addiction, apparently called 'shitposting'."

In addition, Biden shared a shirtless selfie, covering his private parts only through the post’s caption, jokingly stating, "I’m not naked, those days are over."

Newsweek, Axios, and People magazines highlighted that Hunter Biden, who was previously pardoned by his father after trials related to tax violations and illegal firearm purchases, has gained rapid and widespread fame on social media.

His recent posts on X have attracted millions of views, with current President Donald Trump already being asked to comment on Hunter Biden’s chances in the 2028 presidential election.

The 56-year-old former lawyer, now an artist and activist, returned to his old X account in May 2026 but initially posted sparingly.

He began posting actively on June 1, referencing in a video message the seven years he has lived free from addiction.

Hunter Biden has openly discussed his past struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, which Republicans have heavily criticized alongside his work at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma during his father’s vice presidency.

People magazine reported that in recent days, Hunter Biden posted over 300 times on the social network, mostly responding to messages from other users, many of which contained criticism directed at his family and himself.
