Kidman Dons Zimmermann’s Lace Panelled Gown at 'Practical Magic 2' Premiere

The Valiant Panelled Gown from Zimmermann’s Fall 2026 collection formed the centerpiece of Nicole Kidman’s appearance at the “Practical Magic 2” press event on August 31. Its construction featured semi-sheer lace paneling over a high, round crew neckline, edged with scalloped lace trim.

Curved seams guided the lace down over the bust, framing contrasting tapestry and paisley motifs beneath. Fitted fluted sleeves began at the shoulder and upper arm before flaring outward below the elbow. These sleeves incorporated scalloped lace borders, sheer geometric lace overlays, and printed fabrics.

A fitted waist gave way to a low-slung, curved dropped-waist seam, leading into an expansive floor-sweeping maxi skirt. Vertical panels and godet inserts structured the skirt, alternating between sheer floral lace and dense, ornate paisley prints to create elongating vertical lines. A broad scalloped lace trim finished the frill-flare hem, lightly grazing the floor.

Styling and accessories

Jason Bolden styled the look, pairing the gown with a golden Omega watch bearing a dark face and stacked metallic rings. Adir Abergel shaped Kidman’s golden blonde hair into long, undone waves with full, piecey curtain bangs. Her makeup included subtle smoky eyes and a nude pink lip.

At the UK screening of “Practical Magic 2”, Kidman wore a burgundy Rodarte midi dress in silk-satin, trimmed with black lace at the cap sleeves and neckline. Bow details appeared at the crisscross neck, and she wore Hagelstam Ruby Pumps.
