Actor Nicolas Cage will feature as a playable character in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Season 4 Reloaded, launching June 25.
Nicolas Cage is set to enter the Call of Duty universe as a playable character in the upcoming “Summer of Action” event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The Season 4 Reloaded trailer released a preview of his role, with the game becoming available to players on June 25.
The new trailer features Cage portraying himself, opening with the line, “Nicolas Cage, reporting for duty.” His character is shown engaging in multiple action scenes wielding powerful weapons. At one moment, Cage declares, “time to shake things up,” before the trailer concludes with him walking away from an explosion in slow motion, embodying the essence of an action star.
Developers of Season 4 Reloaded stated, “This summer, there’s no break in the heat as an unexpected hero leads the action across all four modes. Unlock and play as Nick Cage across new and returning Multiplayer maps and modes guaranteed to make you sweat. But it’s not time to cool off yet” (via CBR).
The announcement added, “End The Guild’s dominance in Avalon once and for all in Endgame’s new Operation King Killer, fight in a Japanese feudal castle engulfed by lava in the new Kowakujo Round-Based Zombies map and prove your status as an elite action hero with the return of the Champion’s Quest in Core Battle Royale.”
Players will have free access to endgame content until the conclusion of Season 5. Black Ops 7, featuring Season 4 Reloaded, will introduce Black Ops Classic throwback mode as a permanent addition. Furthermore, four maps from previous Black Ops titles will become available when the new content launches on June 25.
This is not Cage’s first appearance in a video game. In 2023, a fictionalized version of the actor was included in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight.
