Paris Jackson Reveals Michael Jackson’s Mask Rule for Children’s Anonymity

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson has disclosed that her father mandated masks for his children during public outings — a measure designed to shield them from recognition. Speaking on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, she described how the rule enabled ordinary experiences, such as visiting Chuck E. Cheese, without disruption.

How the mask rule supported normalcy

“I mean, it just made sense because it was like, ‘Oh yeah, if you do this now, then you can go to Chuck E. Cheese and be normal this weekend ’cause no one will know who you are,’” Paris Jackson recalled. “Like that made sense to me.”

She acknowledged awareness of her father’s fame but emphasized her limited grasp of its scale. “There was definitely part of me that, like, when I looked out my hotel window, and it was one of the times where like the alias didn’t work and there’s just like a sea of people with signs and stuff. I’m not so naive to think, yeah, everyone experiences this, you know?” she said. “I just didn’t understand the lengths.”

Structure and discipline in the Jackson household

Chores and homework were prerequisites for weekend leisure activities, according to Paris Jackson. “If you’re good, and you do your chores, and you do your homework, and you do the things that you’re supposed to do, then on the weekends you can go see some animals, and you can go ride some rides, and you can go to the movies,” she stated.

She also clarified the purpose of Neverland Ranch’s attractions: “It was made very, very clear that all of the attractions [at Neverland] were not for us. That it did not belong to us. That was for, you know, underprivileged children and children that were terminally ill that couldn’t go to like Disneyland.”

Paris Jackson is currently touring as a headliner for the first time, with the Zombies Tour launched in July and scheduled to conclude in September.
