The Princess of Wales has allegedly reached her “breaking point” regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent activities in the United Kingdom. According to a source cited by Closer, Middleton is frustrated by what she perceives as the couple’s nonchalant attitude toward their charitable engagements during their Nottingham tour.

Sussexes’ Nottingham Visit Sparks Frustration

Middleton reportedly views the couple’s appearances since their return to the UK as “performative.” The source stated that the Princess of Wales has spent years restraining herself, prioritizing Prince William’s feelings while trying to remain the bigger person. However, the insider noted that she is now “finding it harder and harder to contain it.”

The tension stems from the perception that Harry and Markle expect the public and the royal family to overlook past conflicts so they can seamlessly reintegrate into life in the UK when convenient. “[Middleton] feels they’ve gone too far,” the source added, suggesting the couple acts as if previous disputes never occurred.

Background on Royal Family Rift

Relations between the Sussexes and the Waleses deteriorated after Harry and Markle criticized the royal family in national television interviews and in Markle’s memoir, “Spare.” The couple left the UK in 2020 to establish a new life in Montecito, California, where they currently reside as non-working royals.

Their recent trip to Nottingham marked their first official joint appearance in the city since visiting together in 2017 following their engagement announcement. Despite this symbolic return, their approach to charitable work has apparently failed to sit well with members of the royal family.

Holiday Plans Remain Separate

Prior reports indicated that Markle and Harry might return to Montecito for the holidays. It was suggested that the couple would not celebrate Christmas with King Charles or other members of the royal family.
