The Princess of Wales has reportedly reached a breaking point regarding her brother-in-law and his wife. While she maintained silence for years out of consideration for Prince William, that restraint is said to be wearing thin following a recent royal-style visit to Nottingham by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Nottingham trip reignites old frustrations

An insider told RadarOnline that Kate is deeply unhappy about the couple's return to Britain. During the outing, Harry and Meghan greeted crowds and visited local charities, including Epic Partners, an organization the Duke has supported since 2013.

The city holds historical significance for the Sussexes, having hosted their first official joint engagement in 2017. This latest appearance occurred roughly two months after they returned from California with their children, Archie and Lilibet. The pair remain outside the working fold of the monarchy after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

Source describes private anger

According to the report, scenes in Nottingham revived old frustrations over the couple’s public criticism of the royal family. The source states Kate is now “absolutely seething behind closed doors,” with her frustration intensifying into being “consumed by fury.”

The insider notes that Kate is not opposed to finding common ground eventually. However, she believes “there has to be some acknowledgment of the hurt caused before anybody can seriously talk about rebuilding relationships.” She reportedly does not want the monarchy to appear as an institution people can leave and rejoin whenever it suits them.

Trust issues complicate communication

Rebuilding trust presents a separate hurdle. The source claims Kate no longer feels able to speak openly with the Sussexes, particularly Meghan. She worries that private remarks could resurface publicly or be taken out of context.

Consequently, she is said to be considering asking someone outside the immediate family to quietly relay her concerns. Her stance is shaped by a wish to avoid embarrassing William or the wider royal family.
