Throwback photos of Emily Ratajkowski in a micro bikini on an Australian beach have resurfaced, drawing criticism regarding her body image and public example.

Resurfacing images from 2018 show supermodel Emily Ratajkowski posing in a skimpy black string bikini on a beach in Australia. The photographs, taken in Sydney, depict the swimwear designer soaking up rays while wearing a criss-cross style that highlights her long legs and curves. Although she launched her Inamorata brand one year prior to these shots, recent reposts on X have sparked debate about whether her appearance sets a negative "example."
While some fans offered compliments, others criticized Ratajkowski for being too "skinny," arguing this makes her an unsuitable role model for women and children. One user commented that she removes clothing whenever cameras are present, labeling the behavior as attention-seeking after nearly two decades in the spotlight. Another remark suggested she should use tape instead of fabric, reflecting harsh scrutiny of her choice of attire.
The viral posts, which garnered over 19,000 likes since their January reposting, feature Ratajkowski displaying ample cleavage and sculpted shoulders in a halterneck top. Her midriff is accentuated by stomach bands and additional string ties, while she wears dark sunglasses and carries a takeout beverage. Despite the mixed reception, defenders noted she looked "hotter than the sun."
In addition to the beach photos, earlier Instagram posts show Ratajkowski poolside in a plunging red bathing suit, evoking a Baywatch aesthetic. She continues to operate Inamorata, founded in 2017, alongside other promotional commitments. Late 2024 saw her appointed as an ambassador for luxury lingerie brand Intimissimi, where she modeled ribbed red sheer underwear.
