Russian actress Julia Frants narrowly escaped death after becoming stranded alongside a friend on a mountain slide track in Sochi, located in southwestern Russia. The incident occurred amid heavy rainfall and a sudden storm, which intensified the danger of their situation.
According to Russian media reports, Frants, aged 37, was enjoying a recreational trip with her friend on one of the mountain slide routes when their carriage unexpectedly stopped at an altitude of 207 meters above ground level. They found themselves suspended in difficult weather conditions.
While rescue teams were en route to the site, the rain and storm worsened, causing Frants and her companion to suffer from severe cold due to their prolonged suspension in the air. Rescue personnel eventually reached them and resolved the situation without any injuries reported.
The Russian news network SHOT confirmed that the prompt response of emergency teams prevented the incident from escalating. The rescue operation was successful, and neither Frants nor her friend required hospital transfer or medical evacuation.
