This plan did not come to fruition, but Swift acknowledged that Kelce’s public declaration caught her interest. She later likened the moment to “an 80s John Hughes movie,” describing it as if Kelce was “standing outside of my window with a boombox” inviting her out.

Despite the romantic undertones, sources indicate neither Swift nor Kelce expected the relationship to become serious quickly. One insider stated, “He wasn’t looking for anything serious — that’s for sure,” while another mentioned Kelce was taking the early weeks as they came.
