Tyra Banks holds no nostalgic regard for her appearance in Halloween: Resurrection. The model and actor stated that the 2002 horror sequel stands as one of her least favorable professional decisions. Nearly two decades after its release, she maintained a firm stance against any revival of that chapter in her career.

Agent Pitched Franchise Entry

Banks initially declined the opportunity to join the franchise. Her agent persuaded her by highlighting Josh Hartnett’s trajectory following his role in Halloween H20. The pitch suggested that participating in the sequel could serve as a shortcut to significant industry advancement.

Entertainment Weekly queried Banks about her retrospective view on filming Halloween: Resurrection. She responded with unequivocal negativity. “No,” Banks said. “Not even a little bit. Like, not even a tiny bit.” She clarified that her objective was to secure acting roles distinct from her modeling background.

Career Boost Failed to Materialize

The agent argued that Hartnett had secured Halloween H20 prior to his broader success. Banks agreed to the eighth installment in the series, anticipating a similar boost. “So I was like, yeah, okay, this is going to do it for me,” she recalled. However, the film provided neither the anticipated career launch nor the dramatic exit she expected.

In the movie, Banks portrayed Nora, a producer documenting teenagers trapped within Michael Myers’ childhood home. The narrative followed their attempts to escape the killer during a live internet streaming event. Although Nora died in the script, the final edit removed the full sequence. Audiences saw only a brief shot of her body, while the deleted footage circulated online later.

Unfulfilled Promises Remain

Banks found the editing decision particularly frustrating because she had anticipated a memorable horror moment. She joked that she was “promised the career of Josh Hartnett, of an actor, and promised an iconic death scene that will last forever, and neither of them happened.” This experience left her with a specific grievance. “So, I have beef with Halloween 8!” she told the publication.

Halloween: Resurrection was not her sole screen credit. Banks appeared in Higher Learning in 1995, followed by starring roles in Coyote Ugly and Life-Size in 2000. She returned for Life-Size 2 and took on television roles in The Tyra Banks Show, America's Next Top Model, and recurring appearances as a judge on America's Got Talent.
